Every Little Bit
Every Little Bit
Made from soap shavings, this mildly natural nutty scented soap was created in my attempt to use "every little bit" of ingredients and materials in my garden shed, not wasting anything.
Soap shavings are produced when I bevel my soaps, which I don't do all the time.
Beveling homemade soap refers to the process of cutting or shaping the edges of the soap bars at an angle. This is typically done for aesthetic reasons and to give the soap bars a more finished and professional appearance. Beveling creates a smoother edge that is visually appealing and can also help prevent the edges from chipping or becoming rough over time. It's a common technique used by soap makers to enhance the overall presentation of their handmade soaps.

TIPS FOR EXTENDING THE LIFE OF YOUR SOAP
Natural handmade soap prefers to avoid getting soggy or sitting in water. Make sure your soap gets time to breathe in between washes and uses. Store in a cool, dry place with ventilation. To help prolong the life of your bar, use a soap dish with ridges that prevent water from building up under your soap.
